![]() Online Play- It was the first Mario Kart game to introduce online play where several people can play against each other across the world, although this feature was discontinued in May 2014 along with Wii's online play.īoring Tracks - Although most of the tracks in the game are either decent or good, there are still some bad and boring ones such as Figure 8-Circuit, Yoshi Falls, GCN Luigi Circuit, and GCN Baby Park (that course is just boring as it's just a simple five laps instead of seven and without the chaotic items). I'm not sure why this mode has never returned in a future Mario Kart game (I know it was originally going to return in Wii but was later scrapped for unknown reasons). Not to mention that all the bosses at the end of each mission level are from SM64DS. Mission Mode - Its missions are challenging in so many different ways, such as collecting coins, driving through gates, racing against other characters, etc. I also love how they continued to keep the tradition going in Wii, 7, and 8/8 Deluxe. Retro Tracks - Tracks from the past four Mario Kart games were added, which makes the game feel less boring as there's 32 tracks to choose from instead of the usual 16 or 20 from the past games. ![]() Memorable Tracks- The game contains so many memorable tracks such as Luigi's Mansion, Delfino Square, Airship Fortress, and of course, Waluigi Pinball, and the tracks are fun to play on. This game also have the best battle mod by far. Mission mode, atho some are repetetive and are hard to get 3 stars on they are great addition to the game and also have great bosses. The nitro courses are mostly great (with some exception like figure 8 circuit like f this track) with tracks like cheep-cheep beach, Bowser's Castle, Peach's Garden and a lot of fan favorite such as Delfino square, Luigi's mansion, Tick tock clock, Waluigi's Pinball, and my favourite track in the serie Airship Fortress. Pros is that this game as the most modes Out of any games (from what I have seen at least) the roster altho small is pretty good with Daisy, Waluigi being in a second Mario Kart and the inclusion of Dry bone and R.O.B who are both ones of my favourite character's. Also kinda sad we Can't play as Shy guy outside of multiplayer. The Ai can either be stubborn or brokenĬons : i would say the bad things in this game is the rétro sélection but since it was the first game introducing it (exluding super circuit) I guess this Can pass, the N64 and GBA course sélection is still great and Mushroom bridge might not be as good as the og it is still a good track.Graphics wise, this was a huge decrease compared to Double Dash ( although understandable for a limit in the DS's hardware).Shy guy wasn't playable in the actual release.Online and LAN play are abandoned (still viable but requires extensive work arounds). The single player mode can get repetitive.DS Rainbow Road was technically the first in the series to implement anti-gravity.Was the first game to add crossover characters in the form of R.O.B. ![]() Created a modern version of the Double Dash chain chomp (Bullet Bill).Allowed for the creation of custom emblems. ![]() It was the first game to introduce retro tracks (with the exception of Super Circuit).
